Americans for Medical Progress collaborated with the Laboratory Animal Welfare Training Exchange to develop a training module to help those working with animals share their work with friends, family and other members of the general public.
It aims to encourage the research community to share their role and stories so that others are able to understand and appreciate how medical progress happens, especially the essential role of animals and the compassionate care provided for them. The program can be implemented in any research institution. It provides trainees with the skills to proudly and effectively speak about their work. This effort seeks to exponentially expand the number of informed and trained advocates for this issue.
Included is a PowerPoint presentation along with instructor notes and lesson plans. To obtain the program or to arrange for us to provide a train-the-trainer program or an onsite or virtual workshop, please contact us.
We’d love to learn whether this type of training is a part of your formal animal care and use training program. Please complete this short anonymous survey.
